The Web is just one way to access information. Wi-fi is becoming almost as prominent way to deliver information as the Web once was. In fact, SOME  consider both the Web and Wi-Fi to be considered (independent but inter-connected) sub-sets of the overall Internet. <\/p>\n<p>Next, let me say that no one can predict with 100% accuracy about the future but we do have a pretty good idea. To begin our discussion, recall this video from the movie <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0216216\/\" target=\"_blank\">The 6th Day<\/a> (We saw this  when we talked about Web standards. Now look at the clip with a focus towards pervasive computing and the Internet of Things). The Internet, after all, is really only a small piece in what is becoming the overall <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Digital_Revolution\">\"Digital Media Revolution\"<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Robin Sloan's insightful predictions made first in 2004 the followed up with two updated versions). It is interesting to see what he predicted and what has happened since.
