EME 6465 – Assignment Checklist (Final Cycle)

Because it is at the end of the semester no late work will be accepted!!! We have several short assignments to finish out the semester.

  • Review the Lesson on Don Norman. I am finishing with him as I believe he can actually help you add the final touches to your projects and your PowerPoint presentations.

This activity should take about 1-2 hrs to complete.

  • Complete your final project. I am anxious to see how you did. Create your educational product along with the lesson plan into which it is integrated. Upload the artifact to the Drop Box set up on Canvas. in case you have to make some changes based on the feedback.
  • At this point you should have completed all the activities for Gamemaker’s Apprentice. As we said in the beginning of the semester, you should have been writing notes in a personal journal about your experiences. Summarize these impressions in the form of a reflection about the experience. I am looking for your comments about the program, whether you believe it is something we should be using in the future (why? / why not?)  and whether it is something that would actually be useful in a K-12/business training environment. Any problems? issues? pluses? minuses? In general give me some useful feedback about the whole experience.  Post this in the text area of the drop Box set up on Canvas.
  • I would like a final reflection about this course. This really has two parts:

1- Do some self evaluating. At the beginning of the term we asked about your expectations and starting point. Do you feel a sense of growth in your own abilities? Were your expectations met? why/why not? Is there anything about the way the course was laid out/introduced that may have helped you more?

2- Second, let me know how you felt about the course in general. I take your comments to heart and find them useful to help make the program better. I take nothing personal… it is business.. ok? so let me know so I can improve.

In general I am asking you to write what you feel and let me know how and what you learned.  List some personal ah-ha! moments.. what you liked/didn’t like etc…
